RELIABILITY ANALYSIS AND RANDOM PROCESS MODELING OF SHIP HULL GIRDER FAILURE CONSIDERING THE LOADS CORRELATION

  • A reliability analysis model is developed when the load correlative was included in the ship structure reliability analysis. Based on the random process theory, this paper sets up the random process model for the performance function of the ship hull girder subjected to slamming, wave-induced and still water loads, when the correlation of the peak value of slamming and wave-induced load is considered. The reliability analysis is performed by means of up-crossing analysis and parallel system reliability method. The coefficient of correlation influences on the reliability are analyzed, and the trend of failure probability about damping ratio, slamming rate are discussed, separately. Finally, the reliability of all failure modes are also calculated. The results show that the damping ratio dominated the influence of load correlative on the reliability, and the buckling failure is the primary failure mode.
