RESEARCH ON THE VIBRATION OF FTSR HOT ROLLING MILL

  • Aiming at the abnormal vibration problem of a FTSR hot rolling mill, this paper tested and analyzed the characteristics of the mill vibration by using the modern acceleration telemetry system and ANSYS Harmonic response modeling. Primary conclusion is obtained that the abnormal vibration of the FTSR rolling mill is caused by coupling vibration of mill main drive control system oscillation and roll system horizontal vibration natural frequency. When the frequency of the torsional vibration is equal to the horizontal natural frequency of the roll system, the horizontal vibration takes place most severely. This research provides experimental and theoretical guidelines for restraining rolling mill vibration.
