ESTIMATION OF CASUALTY AREAS IN SUBWAY STATION SUBJECTED TO TERRORIST BOMB

  • When a subway station subjected to a terrorist bomb, the damage should be serious. By using the numerical simulation finite element software LS-DYNA, the dynamite explodes inside a typical subway station has been simulated. The results have given the flow field distribution of blast wave inside the station, and the isobar of blast wave overpressure at the station platform. Comparing all the criteria about people subjected to blast loading, casualties in the subway station are estimated. Different areas are divided according to corresponding injured levels. The research may be useful for subway station anti-explosion design.
