INVERSE EIGENVALUE METHOD OF STATIC MODEL UPDATING

  • In thes paper, a parameter-type method of updating the finite element model is Presented based on inverse eigenvalue problem theory. According to the eigen-equation, nonlinear equations are established in terms of design parameters. In doing so, the model updating problem is transformed into the Problem of solution for the nonlinear equations. This method, choosing the design parameters as the variables to be updated, makes the updated model keep the original physical features and has clear significance in engineering. A numerical simulated example is provided to illustrate the characteristics of this method. Good accuracy and convergency are achieved.
