Abstract
Based on the design experience, reasonable mathematical simplifications are made and effective mathematical model of prestressed concrete waffle structure is established on the basis of nonlinear finite strip method. The sequential entropy iteration method is used in the optimization process. Therefore, the optimal design of large scale prestressed concrete waffle structures is made feasible. It is shown that the present approach is noticably efficient and effort-saving.
