DEVELOPMENT OF RESEARCHES ON LIQUID-SOLID INTERACTION AND SLOSH SUPPRESSION

  • Researches on properties of the liquid sloshing and coupling effects of the liquid are very important in aeronautics and astronautics engineering.The interaction between the fuel and the tank and the dynamic behavior of the liquid sloshing have much effects on the dynamic stability of the liquid-filled space vehicle and the strategic ballistic missile. The sloshing of the propellant fuel have to be suppressed to avoid the coupling between the liquid sloshing and the structure vibration. The sloshing frequency and the natural frequency of the structures structures must be kept out of the frequency bandwidth of the rocket control systems. In this paper the developments achieved in the fields of liquid-solid coupling and slosh suppression are presented.
