EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON LOADING CAPACITY AND HYSTERETIC PROPERTIES OF ASSEMBLED BRIDGE PIER JOINTS

  • The aseismic behaviour and the hysteretic properties of the assembled double-column bridge pier were studied by a model test. Based on the test and analysis a simplified formula for the joints' aseismic calculation was developed. The calculated results are in good agreement to those of the model test. The aseismic checking was performed on the basis of the current aseismic code.
