A NEW METHOD FOR ESTABLISHING PARTITIONED VARIATIONAL PRINCIPLES

Abstract
A new method for establishing partitioned variational principles for theory of elasticity is presented. The continuous conditions of displacement and stress on a common boundary between zonings are given up. The equivalence between the differential form and the integral form of the partitioned systematic methodology for theory of elasticity is proved. In a uniform framework partitioned equations of generalized virtual work and partitioned variational principles for theory of elasticity are proved based on differential form by the equivalence. A variational principle is a form to be represented of integral form. Physical interpretation of integral form is discussed. Concepts about generalized virtual functions are proposed. Generalized virtual functions have arbitrary property, virtual property.
