METHOD OF CREEP STRESS REDUCTION COEFFICIENT FOR THERMAL STRESS ANALYSIS OF LARGE-AREA CONCRETE BEAM-SLAB STRUCTURES

  • A systematic analysis of large-area beam-slab concrete structures is presented in this paper. The concepts of structural constraint coefficient and the creep stress reduction coefficient are proposed and a method based on the two concepts is developed through comparison of elastic solution and creep solution of typical frames subjected to concrete shrinkage and temperature change. Finite element analysis of elastic spatial frames is conducted to verify the present method. Compared with in-situ test data, satisfactory results are obtained.
