MODEL TEST FOR FATIGUE PERFORMANCE OF ANCHORAGE IN CABLE-STAYED BRIDGE WITH STEEL BOX GIRDER

  • Cable-girder anchorage in anchor-plate form was adopted to connect cable with steel box girder in Zhanjiang Bay Bridge. Its mechanical behavior is very complicated and fatigue performance of anchorage system under service live-loads needs special attention. The application of anchor-plate anchorage structure in long span cable-stayed bridge is introduced. The characteristics of anchor-plate anchorage structure are investigated and fatigue test of a full-scale model of the anchorage zone is introduced. Combining theoretical analysis with the result obtained from fatigue test, stress contributions of the anchorage system under cyclic loading and static loading are analyzed in detail and the fatigue performance of the anchorage system under cyclic loading is assessed.
