MOVING GRIDS METHOD SIMULATION OF SECTIONS’ AERODYNAMIC DERIVATIVES BASED ON ALE FORMAT

  • In this paper, the turbulence is simulated by the standard large eddy model using the finite volume method, where the moving boundary’s air loading is calculated using the Moving Grids Method of Arbitrary Lagrange-Euler format. By changing the angel and boundary’s revision factors, the quality of grids is improved. Through the forced vibration method, the aerodynamic derivatives of two typical girder sections (box girder and side main girder) are simulated, whose results are consistent with those of wind tunnel test. So the proposed CFD method can be used to simulate the bridge deck’s aerodynamic derivatives.
