NUMERICAL STUDY ON THE SLENDER BODY AT HIGH ANGLE OF ATTACK

  • By solving three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations, Asymmetrical vortex flow over the slender body at high angles of attack is simulated. Surface disturbance in the block and tiny blowing control method are also used for analyzing the high angle of attack slender body leeward vortex structure and lateral force changes. Results show that the tiny block can add disturbance, and in this way, the unsteady flow over the slender body becomes disciplinary and steadily unsteady flow. Tiny blowing disturbance can also have a good control of the slender body non-symmetry vortex. Calculated results agree well with the experimental data.
