NON-LINEAR FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS ON SLITTED SHEAR WALL STRUCTURE WITH HEAT PRESERVATION FORMWORK

  • With the implementation of the policies about wall materials innovation and energy efficiency in buildings, a kind of new structure—slitted shear wall structure with heat preservation formwork was developed. The finite element analysis software ANSYS was used to analyze the non-linear characteristics of the new structural model. Based on the reasonable mechanics models and methodologies, the seismic behavior was researched for the slitted shear wall structure on the horizontal loading test. The slitted shear walls were compared with shear wall structure on some earthquake performances, such as crack expansion and distribution, strain-stress, stiffness, stiffness degradation and ductility coefficient. The characteristics of the new structure were analyzed, including the failure mode, skeleton curve and the stiffness degradation. The results show that the slits can affect the break mode, and moderate structural stiffness and earthquake reaction. In addition, the slits can enhance the ductility property and energy dissipation capability. The conclusions may be used in designing and to evaluate the performance for the new structure.
