STUDY ON BEARING CAPACITY OF COMPLEX SHEAR WALL WITH GHB HEAT PRESERVATION FORMWORK

  • With the implementation of the policies about energy efficiency in buildings, a kind of new structure— Complex shear wall structure with heat preservation formwork by glazed hollow bead(GHB) was developed. Experimental work and finite element analysis on the complex shear walls were introduced. Based on the complex shear wall specimen experiment under vertical loading and numerical simulation, some characteristics of the new structure were analyzed, including the bearing capacity, failure mode, distortion capability. Meanwhile, the common shear wall specimen test and analysis were carried on. Aimed at the reinforcing effect, the strength and the out plane stability were contrasted between the two kind of shear walls. Both the experiment and FEM analysis results show that complex shear walls have enough strength and rigidity to bear the service stage loading and have perfect work behaviors as a whole. The conclusions may be used to design and evaluate the performance of new structures.
