CALCULATION AND VERIFICATION OF MASONRY BLOCK BUILDING WITH FRAME AT THE BOTTOM

  • Currently there is no professional or reliable software to analyze the behavior of masonry block building with frame at the bottom, because it is a newly occurred type of structural system. Hence, large inconvenience is resulted in engineering practices. In order to solve this problem, a scheme to analyze this type of structure is proposed in this paper, where the behavior under vertical loads is modeled using finite element method (FEM), and the behavior subjected to lateral loading is simulated using space- cooperation model. An analytical program has been developed. In comparison with the results of ANSYS, the feasibility of the proposed program is verified.
