A 3D MODEL IN NONLINEAR ANALYSIS OF REINFORCED CONCRETE SHEAR WALL WITH SIDE COLUMN

  • A three dimensional (3D) model is put forward in the nonlinear analysis of reinforced concrete shear walls on the basis of a fiber model. The model can be applied to the spatial nonlinear analysis of frame-shear wall structures in high-rise buildings. The wall and the side columns are undivided, and its stiffness matrix is established. The linear and nonlinear characteristics of the concrete and the steel bar are simulated by the fiber elements, the wall is simulated by plane fiber elements and the side column is simulated by spatial fiber elements. The coordination of the whole model is guaranteed while considering the characteristics of the wall and the side columns, which are subject to stress. A computer program for 3D analysis of reinforced concrete frame-shear wall structure in high-rise buildings has been designed. The two examples can prove that the model is both correct and effective.
