ANALYTICAL METHODS AND APPLICATION OF COMPATIBILITY TORSION BASED ON VARIATIONAL STIFFNESS

  • In order to master accurately the performance of the structural components in each loading stage which are subjected to great compatibility torsion in the prestressed roof,the applicabilities of several typical analysis methods are compared to each other.An analytical method based on variational stiffness is proposed which discounts the component's elastic torsion stiffness based on the performance in different loading case.By the simulation and analysis of the whole process of a project in which the side beam cracked due to the compatibility torsion,the performance of the side beam in each loading cases was evaluated,and the discount modulus of the torsion stiffness was discussed based on the test results.Results show that this analytical method reflects the actual cracked condition and the performance of the side beam in each loading cases better.It reveales how the prestressing secondary torque works and provides references to the analysis and design of similar structures.
