DYNAMIC RELIABILITY ANALYSIS OF STOCHASTIC STRUCTURES UNDER STATIONARY RANDOM EXCITATION USING HERMITE POLYNOMIALS APPROXIMATION

  • For dynamic reliability analysis of stochastic structures under stationary random excitation, a new dynamic reliability assessment method is presented on the basis of decomposition method and Hermite polynomials approximation. The method involves an additive decomposition of a multi-dimensional dynamic reliability re-sponse function into an one-dimensional function, then the Hermite polynomials is employed to approximate the one-dimensional dynamic reliability response function. At last, the unconditional reliability of the explicit response function is obtained by the Monte Carlo simulation, two examples demonstrate the rationality of the presented method.
