THE CHARACTERISTICS OF VIBRATION WAVE PROPAGATION FROM SHIP HIGH TRANSMISSION LOSS BASE STRUCTURES

  • According to impedance mismatch and wave conversion, the characteristics of vibration wave propagation from different base link structures are analyzed through wave theory. The regularity of vibration isolation performance with the plate’s thickness ratio and frequency is also given. Meanwhile the isolation performance of blocking masses eccentric location is discussed, the formula of impeding base vibration wave transmission is deduced. Furthermore, the high transmission loss link structures are introduced to the base panel, web and installation grillage, and the integrated use of blocking mass as well as damping layer dramatically increase the base impedance mismatch. The preliminary high transmission loss of a typical base structure is summed up, and the acoustic design is certified through numerical calculations.
