NUMERICAL COMPUTATION OF PRESSURE ON THE THERMAL RECOVERY WELL BASED ON THERMAL-HYDRO-MECHANICAL COUPLING

  • For the serious casing damage in thermal recovery, a thermo-hydro-mechanical coupled mechanics model of thermal recovery was established. The multi-physics software was employed to solve the model and simulate the distribution of seepage and stress around the thermal recovery well, and the validity of model was verified by comparing with the data of heavy oil thermal recovery in Liaohe Oilfield. The influence of injection-production parameters on the compression on casing was simulated with the model. The results show that, as the bottom-hole pressure declines, the compression on the casing rises; as the steam injection increases, the load on the casing grows. Thus, some measures for preventing casing damage are proposed as: restrict the change of bottom-hole pressure and the steam injection rate.
