EXPERIMENTAL STUDY AND THEORETICAL ANALYSIS ON DRAINAGE GRAVEL PILE RESISTANCE OF EARTHQUAKE LIQUEFACTION

  • Using the way of vibro-replacement gravel piles, it gains a better effect in dealing with a sand liquefaction foundation. The liquefaction is reduced or eliminated depending on the extrusion soil body, draining decompression and absorption seism of the pile body together. Through the test of a small-scale shaking table model, this paper focuses on the theoretical analysis and the action of the draining decompression of reinforced gravel piles. The experiments show that gravel piles can be used in a reinforcing liquefaction foundation. By well anti-permeability effect, the gravel pile is obviously better than other ways.
