NONLINEAR ANALYSIS OF SUPERIMPOSED SLAB SHEAR WALL BASED ON FIBER MODEL

  • The bending, axial and shear deformation of the superimposed slab shear wall (SSSW) affect its dynamic property. To consider this effect, the fiber model is adopted to simulate the nonlinear hysteretic interaction of bending deformation and axial deformation, and the shear deformation is modeled by the shear spring model. Numerical simulations of four SSSWs with different boundary restraints and axial compression ratios using this model are carried out under different loading patterns. The comparison between the results of cyclic test and numerical simulations demonstrates that the nonlinear behavior of the SSSW can be simulated by the fiber model considering shear deformation, and the proposed model can be applied further to the inelastic analysis of structures with such SSSW.
