ANALYSIS OF SIMILITUDE DESIGN OF MODEL SOIL USED FOR SHAKING TABLE TEST OF SOIL-STRUCTURE INTERACTION SYSTEM

  • The shaking table test is one of the most important methods for soil-structure interaction research. There still exist some controversies in simulating the foundation soil of an interaction system. In this paper, the basic theory and implement procedure of a similitude design of model soil were analyzed. The designing methods used in recent researches were catalogued and summarized, and the range of application and disadvantages among different methods were analyzed and compared. The results could provide useful and helpful directions for experimental researches in the further.
