A FINITE ELEMENT MODEL FOR POST-FIRE SEISMIC PERFORMANCE OF STEEL REINFORCED CONCRETE COLUMNS

  • A finite element (FE) model for temperature calculation in steel reinforced concrete (SRC) columns was proposed, and the results of the calculation agree well with those from testing. Then, a calculation method for the highest temperature field of the SRC columns was proposed, based on which a FE model for the post-fire seismic performance of the SRC columns was proposed. In the FE model, the bond-slip properties between steel and concrete and between rebar and concrete are simultaneously considered. It is shown that calculated results agree well with test results, and the FE model can be used to analyze the post-fire seismic performance of SRC columns.
