PARAMETRIC MODEL FOR ASPHALT MIXTURES CONSIDERING TEMPERATURE EFFECT

  • The modified Burgers model is used as a viscoelastic constitutive model for asphalt mixtures. The viscoelastic parameters of the constitutive model are obtained by fitting the data of uniaxial creep tests with nonlinear least squares method. The modified Burgers model is established by considering the effect of temperature variation on the viscoelasticity of asphalt mixtures. The partial factors of the viscoelastic parametric model are determined by fitting experimental data. The creep compliance considering temperature effect is calculated theoretically. The comparison with experimental results indicates that the parametric model is highly applicable and precise. The viscoelastic parametric model is of good applicability and can be used to generalize the limited experimental data to other temperature conditions so as to save experimental efforts.
