STUDY ON DUAL-PARAMETER SEISMIC DAMAGE MODEL OF CORRODED STEEL FRAME COLUMNS IN ACIDIC ENVIRONMENTS

  • Based on the low cycle reversed loading test results of 12 corroded steel frame columns in an acidic environment, their damage evolution characteristics are further analyzed. The effect of the loading system, loading path, and cycle times on the seismic performance of corroded steel frame columns is considered, and a dual-parameter seismic damage model of corroded steel frame columns in the acidic environment is put forward. The model can reflect the plastic deformation damage and the cumulative damage. Some test results are used to fit the relationship between the test constant in the damage model and axial compression ratio as well as mass loss. Based on the test results, the validity of the damage model is verified. The results show that the model can rationally describe the generation and evolution of seismic damage in corroded steel frame columns in an acidic atmospheric environment.
