EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON RAINFALL IMPACT

  • Developed a wind-rain balance, and used it to measure the time-history curve of impact, which is acted on the structure under different rainfall intensity and different falling heights of raindrops. The rule of the impact on a structure under different rainfall intensity and different raindrops falling height is obtained by analyzing and by imitating the collision between raindrops and structure. The results show that the average impact and the pulse impact generated by the rainfall action on a structure can exert an influence. Therefore, researches on the mechanical property under different rainfall intensity will be of great significance.
