REFINED STUDY ON WIND-INDUCED RESPONSE OF STRUCTURE BY STOCHASTIC WIND LOAD

  • For taking account for the relevance between the background response and resonant response, this paper proposes a full three-component procedure to obtain wind-induced responses by a stochastic dynamic method. By the testing examples of cantilever beams, it is shown that the full three-component procedure is an accurate method as CQC method in theory. The wind-induced responses are overestimated by the traditional three-component procedure that neglects the background-resonant coupling component.
