INVESTIGATION OF AEROSERVOELASTIC DYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS OF ELASTIC FLIGHT-WINGS

  • The aeroservoelastic (ASE) dynamic characteristics of elastic flight-wings are discussed in this study. A coupled dynamic model of a flight-wing is developed using the branch mode method, which considers the interactions between flight dynamics, structure dynamics and aerodynamics. At the same time, an ASE model of the entire aircraft is obtained by integrating controlling structures and sensor layouts. Using this model, the interactions among flight dynamics, controlling structures and structure dynamics for flight-wings are examined at various altitudes and Mach numbers. Subsequently, characteristics of the coupled dynamics are investigated, the conclusions of which are expected to offer referencing information for future ASE analysis and design of aircrafts of similar kind.
