EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES ON PERMEABILITY PROPERTY AND PORE SIZE DISTRIBUTION OF HIGH PERFORMANCE NANO-BINDER CEMENTITIOUS COMPOSITES

  • To solve the seepage of concrete from brittle cracking, the paper introduced a new type of materials, named high performance nano-binder cementitious composites (HPNCC). The permeability property and pore size distribution of HPNCC were investigated through an impermeability instrument and a mercury porosimeter respectively. The experimental results indicated that the relative permeability coefficient of HPNCC with compact microstructures and smaller pore size exhibits only 3.64e-9cm/h. The impermeability of HPNCC is 1000 times better than that of fiber reinforced cementitious composites (UHTCC) and concrete.
