REASERCH ON COMFORT ANALYSIS FOR STRUCTURAL FLOOR UNDER PEDESTRIAN LOAD

  • With the adoption of new materials as well as structural systems and construction methods, there are appearing more flexible, lighter, greater span and less damping structures, causing the significant vibrational responses of structural floor systems under pedestrian movement loads, which may induce the human discomfort and panic, and even affect the normal utilization of the structures. In this paper, the pedestrian comfort analysis theory and evaluation standards were illustrated firstly by the principle of domestic and foreign research status quo and specification provisions. Furthermore, according to the requirements of national specification and international ISO standard, the time history analysis of an outdoor landscape flyover was done, to elaborate the analysis and evaluation method of the floor pedestrian comfort. Also, the common damping measures of the vertical vibration comfort of the structure floors were introduced.
