DYNAMIC RESPONSES OF TRAIN-BRIDGE SYSTEM SUBJECTED TO TRUCK COLLISION AND RUNNING SAFETY EVALUATION OF HIGH-SPEED TRAIN

  • A dynamic analysis model is established for a coupled high-speed train and bridge system subjected to a collision-load. A 5m?4m continuous bridge with PC box girders and an ICE3 high-speed train are considered as an illustrating case study. The whole histories of the train running on the bridge while the truck collision load acting on the pier are simulated, based on which the dynamic responses of the bridge and the train are analyzed, and the running safety indices of the train on the bridge are evaluated. The results show that the dynamic responses of the bridge subjected to a truck collision load is greatly increased, resulting in a big influence on the running safety of high-speed trains. A control method for running safety of high-speed trains on the bridge subjected to a collision load is investigated, and the safety threshold curve of train-speed and collision intensity is proposed.
