Abstract:
Based on various turbulence models, i.e. standard model etc. provided by professional computational fluid dynamics software Fluent 6, the 3D steady wind flow field around standard low-rise building TTU in atmospheric boundary layer is numerically simulated. The results of numerical simulation are compared with TTU field measured data and Tongji University TJ-2 wind tunnel test data. The comparisons show that several turbulence models can give useful results from the aspect of engineering application, and the simulation results of complex Reynolds stress model are no better than simple Eddy viscosity models for such simple shape building. This provides a foundation for numerical simulation study of wind flow around bluff body.
