Abstract:
The temperature fields for an orthotropic plate with a central crack under the remote uniform heat flows are investigated. Two new temperature boundary value problems are solved. One is the constant temperature on the crack surface. Another is the constant temperature gradient on the crack surface, which includes the insulated and uninsulated crack cases. The full-field analytical solutions of the temperature fields are obtained by applying the anisotropic thermoelastic theory and the complex function theory. The solutions satisfy the given boundary conditions. The numerical results show some new phenomena. It is necessary to have the in-depth theoretical analysis and experimental investigation.
