Abstract:
Applying Hencky's heory of plasticity, this paper developed the thermal elastoplasticity analysis model of cylindrical metal mold by use of numerical calculation on the basis of analytics, assuming that the Young's modulus of the mold material is constant and the plasticity strengthen of material is linear. The analysis take into account the thermal history and the temperature dependence of some properties of material such as thermal dilatation coefficient, yield stress and strengthen coefficient. The calculation was made to reveal the stress and strain history, stress and temperature distribution of mold. The cyclic stress—strain behaviour of metal mold was shown.
