Abstract: in this paper,a useful formula for calculating the flank pressure coefficient of grain-stuff-crowd has been brought about;a new survey method using photoelasticity instrument for getting the coefficients has been suggested. This method has some advantages such as low cost,simple operation,easy calculation and exact result.
