Abstract:
The compressive tests of 63 concrete specimens under four lateral stress levels and four loading rates were completed using the static-dynamic triaxial test system for concrete in Dalian University of Technology. The rule of compressive strength of concrete under different loading rates and lateral stresses is discussed systematically in the paper, and the corresponding failure criterion is established. The study results lay down a reliable foundation for the dynamic analysis of concrete structures, such as the structures subjected to dynamic biaxial compression in earthquake regions, the offshore concrete oil plateforms etc.
