Abstract:
With Winkler foundation model,the foundation pressure on Winkler foundation-beam with one fixed end and subject to evenly distributed loading is calculated.It is found that the foundation pressure increases with the increase in the distance to the fixed end,but there exists a maximum.Based on the finding,the application possibilities of the foundation-beam to practical problems is presented.It bring an issue to avoid engineering defect which resulted from the subsidence differences between two adjacent structures,example of bump at the end of bridges.
