Abstract:
Based on a compression strut model and a softened truss model, this paper proposes a new seismic resistant design method of steel fiber reinforced concrete beam-column connections.Steel fibers mixed into joint cores can be regarded as part of horizontal and vertical shear reinforcements.By establishing equilibrium equations, compatibility equations and constitutive equations on the interfaces between joint cores and beams or columns, seismic actions transmitted to compression strut models and softened truss models can be obtained. The proposed design method can ensure the horizontal and vertical shear resistant capacities of joints, and its reliability is verified by test data of seven steel fiber reinforced concrete beam-column exterior connections.
