Abstract:
The road performance of SBS polymer modified emulsified asphalt was studied through indoor tests for bridge waterproof and cohesive layers. SBS polymer modified emulsified asphalt presents a better quality for bridge waterproof and cohesive layers compared with polychloroprene asphalt waterproof coating applied usually in China. And the asphalt concrete pavement modeling of a box beam bridge was set up by using Ansys program for 3 dimensional finite element analyses to analyze the interface shear stress. Both results of experimental and numerical studies prove that SBS polymer modified emulsified asphalt for bridge waterproof and cohesive layers satisfy the requirements of engineering application.
