Abstract:
Wuhan international stock building is a typical steel super high-rise building which is very sensitive to wind loads. Based on wind tunnel tests of rigid model, the surface wind pressure time series of Wuhan international stock building were obtained, and then, the 3-D wind load model of the building in frequency domain was established through data processing. Furthermore, the maximum displacement and acceleration responses in the two horizontal principle axial directions and the torsional direction were evaluated based on random vibration theory. In the meantime, the variation of the building’s displacement and acceleration responses was investigated. Finally, the indexes of wind resistant design of Wuhan international stock building, which are valuable references for structural engineer, were analyzed systematically under the maximum wind speed at different return periods.
