Abstract:
A Pushover method for seismic analysis and design of underground structures has been presented. Using that method, the determination procedure of equivalent horizontal inertial acceleration distribution and the target displacement is introduced in this paper together with the associated implementation procedure. Study on the applicability of the method is carried out by changing the burial depth of the structure, the stiffness of soil and the concrete strength of the structure respectively. The results obtained through the method are compared with those obtained through the static-dynamic coupling analysis based on the unified viscous-spring artificial boundary. It can be found that the results obtained through the two methods are in good agreement, indicating that the Pushover analysis method introduced in the paper has a high applicability and a good computational accuracy, and hence is suitable for the seismic analysis and design of underground structures.
