Abstract:
In order to insure the multiple aseismic fortification line performance for a frame-shear wall structure in tall buildings, in the “JGJ 3-2002, Technical specification for concrete high-rise building” the calculation method for the seismic shearing force of frame columns of a frame-shear wall structure has been modified. Based on the “Determination of seismic forces acting on frame in high-rise frame-shear wall structures” study, in this paper a practical approach in segments for the seismic shearing force of a frame-shear wall structure is finally presented, which is based on a deformation index, and at the same time, the stiffness degeneration on the shear wall is taken into account. Furthermore, this method is compared with the former by the result of an example. The results indicate that this method is necessary and available. This method supplies an important reference for the supplement of design codes.
