Abstract:
Sidu River Bridge is a montane long-span suspension bridge. The structure of the bridge is super flexible and wind sensitive, so the wind-resistant capacity must be examined for the bridge. The 3D finite element model of the bridge was established by using general finite element analysis (FEA) software ANSYS, and its dynamic characteristics were obtained. By introducing the modified Geodatis spectral representation method, the turbulent stochastic wind-velocity field of the bridge was simulated and checked. Then, the time-history of buffeting force was calculated according to the quasi-steady theory. Finally, the results of the time domain buffeting analyses were obtained by conducting time history analysis. This study can provide reference for the wind-resistant design of similar bridges.
