Abstract:
Previous studies of other pertinent literatures have proved that the loading rate will affect the mechanical behavior and the surrounding piezomagnetic field of ferromagnetic materials. In order to further study the effect of loading rate history on the evolution of the piezomagnetic field, this study have performed a series of cyclic loading tests on Q345 steel. During the test, a magnetic flux meter was used to monitor the surrounding magnetic field of the specimen, and the evolution of the piezomagnetic field of the specimen after different maximum loading rates was studied. The results show that the loading rate history is one of the important factors affecting the evolution of the piezomagnetic field.
