Abstract:
The developable and foldable structure is a kind of structure which can freely change its geometric configuration on a large scale. They can change from a smaller closed or folded state to an open or deployed state. Compared with traditional structures, the developable and foldable structures have the advantages of fast construction, convenient transportation and storage, and being used repeatedly, so it is widely used in civil, military, aerospace and other fields. In view of the common problems and key technologies of deployable and foldable structures, the geometric composition, motion path and mechanical properties of various novel deployable and foldable structures were studied by theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and physical model experiments.
