Abstract:
For the mooring anchor chain of a floating platform, the towing force coefficient
CD of mooring unchocked anchor chain under different flow states is measured by physical model experiment, and its variation law is analyzed. By using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method, turbulence model LES and
κ-
ω SST were used to calculate the towing force coefficient
CD of mooring unshielded anchor chain, and a relatively accurate turbulence model was obtained by combining the results of physical experiment. On this basis, the variation law of towing force coefficient of mooring anchor chain with Reynolds number and incoming flow direction in actual marine engineering environment is computed, and engineering suggestions are developed.
