Abstract:
In order to evaluate the remaining load capacity of sub-health bridges reasonably, this paper proposed a method for evaluating the remaining load capacity and the limited load index of the sub-health simply supported T beam bridge according to the measured loading test data. Through comparing the measured results with FE model, the stiffness reduction coefficient was calculated. Then the deducted bending inertia moment and the centroid relocation of the sub-health bridge were figured out. These parameters were then inputted to the FE model for conducting a feedback calculation. Lastly, the limited load index was predicted by calculating the critical internal force in terms of decreasing the design load according to the controlled-stain. A sub-health bridge case was presented to verify this method.
