Abstract:
The valve hall of converter station is the main building in the ultra high voltage (UHV) power grid, and its seismic safety problem is especially prominent in high seismic intensity area. Based on the seismic safety of the valve hall structure and the internal suspension valve tower in it, taking the overall structure of the valve hall and the internal suspension valve tower as the research object, the structure selection of high voltage side valve hall of ±800 kV converter station in high seismic intensity area is studied in combination with an actual project. By using modal analysis and nonlinear dynamic time history analysis, two types of valve halls of hybrid structure and full-steel structure are compared and analyzed. Comparing the results of modal analysis and the time history analysis under different seismic waves, the seismic performance of the full-steel structure valve hall is found better than that of the hybrid structure valve hall. Therefore, the full-steel structure type should be selected for the high voltage side valve hall of converter station in high seismic intensity area.
