Abstract:
Like the typical long-span roof structures, the space truss structure has the multi-modal participatory and characteristic response diversity in its wind-induced responses, moreover, its wind-induced responses have a large number of sign alternations. Recognizing the shortage and limitations of the equivalent wind load for single target, this paper proposes a new approach of the multi-targets equivalent wind load. In this approach, the sign combination problem of the pulse extreme response for the multi-targets was effectively resolved with the proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) method, and to some extent, the most likely distribution of the target responses was sought out. Meanwhile, for the purpose of ensuring the wind-induced response occurring at the key locations, the exact solution of the equivalent wind load for multiple targets was raised. Taking the platform of the new Hangzhou east railway station as an example, it was proved that the equivalent wind loads for multiple targets obtained by the proposed approach can not only ensure that the responses in key parts are highly consistent with the actual results but also keep other results in non-critical parts a certain accuracy.
